There are often times that I find myself needing to get ready quickly after work for a night out. This does not leave me much time to redo my whole face, so I follow five simple steps to turn my look from daytime to nighttime.
- Create a bold lip– I use a natural beige colour on my lips for the most part throughout the day, so switching it up for night time with a bold red or deep mauve tone can drastically change my look. My go to nighttime colour is Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in the shade, Alison.
Layer on those lashes- I currently wear eyelash extensions but before I got them fake eyelashes were my favourite beauty product. Vamping up your lashes create a flirty look which is perfect for going out. My favourite eyelashes are the Ardell Demi Wispies.
- Buff out your eyeliner or change the shape- I myself do not tend to wear eyeliner during the day but for those who do there are two ways to change it up for the night. One way is to simply smudge or buff out the eyeliner you already have on to create a smoky eye. The second is to create a wing or cat eye for a sultrier stare. For a wing, my favourite is liquid liners such as Kat Von D Ink Liner, and a gel liner such as the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Liner to smudge into a smoky eye.
- Darken your eye shadow- Adding some bronze or earthy tones and creating a dramatic crease is a surefire way to make your daytime look a lot more dramatic. The eyeshadow palette that I would suggest is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette.
- Highlight, Highlight, Highlight- Nothing says wow more than a nice fierce glow atop of your cheekbones. Layer on two or three different highlighters to make all the difference in your look. The best highlighter palette for layering is definitely the Anastasia Beverly Hills That Glow Kit.
